Exhaust Repairs, Replacements & DPF Help in Cheshunt
A blowing exhaust isn't just noisy — it's an MOT failure and can pull other expensive components down with it. We diagnose, weld-repair or replace exhaust sections from front pipe to back box, and help with catalytic converter and DPF issues.
Everything is in the price.
We hate hidden extras as much as you do. Every exhausts job at Capital Tyre Services covers the lot — parts, labour, consumables and VAT.
- Visual and audio inspection on the lift
- Smoke/leak check at the joints and gaskets
- Replacement clamps, gaskets and hangers as needed
- Test drive to confirm noise is resolved
- 12-month workmanship warranty
A simple 4-step process.
- 01
Locate the fault
Car on the lift — we identify whether the issue is a joint, a blown box, a sensor or a heat shield.
- 02
Repair or replace?
Many exhausts can be section-repaired or welded for far less than a full replacement. We quote both options where applicable.
- 03
Fit & seal
New gaskets, clamps and hangers fitted; system aligned to avoid rattles and heat damage.
- 04
Emissions check
Where relevant, we re-run an emissions check to confirm the fault is cleared.
Exhausts pricing — nothing hidden.
Catalytic converters and DPFs are quoted individually as part costs vary widely by vehicle.

Common exhausts issues we handle.
Blowing joints and back boxes
Most common on cars over 5 years old — usually a tidy section repair, sometimes a back box.
Failed lambda sensors
Cause emission MOT fails and rough running; replaced with quality OE-grade sensors.
Blocked DPFs
We diagnose with live data and attempt a forced regeneration before recommending replacement.
A team you can trust with your car.
Weld repairs where possible
We won't sell you a full system when a tidy section weld will solve it properly.
Diagnostic-led DPF help
Forced regens, sensor checks and replacement only when the data says so — not by guess.
MOT emission fixes
We resolve high-CO, lambda and DPF MOT failures and provide pass certificates.

Exhausts questions, answered.
Can't see your question? Call 0208 159 2222 or message us on WhatsApp.
- Can you weld my exhaust instead of replacing it?
- In many cases yes — a clean section weld with new gaskets and clamps can save you the cost of a full system.
- How long does a DPF forced regen take?
- A forced regeneration cycle typically takes 30–45 minutes once the DPF is hot and conditions are right.
- Will fixing my exhaust pass my MOT?
- If the failure is exhaust-related (noise, security, emissions) then yes — we re-test the affected items after the repair.
- Do you supply original-equipment exhaust parts?
- Yes. We can supply OE or OE-equivalent parts and explain the difference in price and warranty for each.
- My engine light is on — is that my exhaust?
- Often, but not always. We plug in a diagnostic reader to confirm before quoting any work.
