Professional Puncture Repair in Cheshunt — From £20, While You Wait
Not every puncture means a new tyre. Where the damage is in the safe repair zone, we carry out a permanent inside-out plug-and-patch repair to BSAU-159 — the British Standard for tyre repair — for a fraction of the cost of a replacement.
Everything is in the price.
We hate hidden extras as much as you do. Every puncture repair job at Capital Tyre Services covers the lot — parts, labour, consumables and VAT.
- Wheel removal and full internal tyre inspection
- Permanent combination plug-and-patch in the repair zone
- Dynamic re-balance after repair
- New rubber valve where required
- Refit, torque to spec and TPMS reset
A simple 4-step process.
- 01
Inspection
We dismount the tyre and check the inside for hidden damage that you can't see from outside.
- 02
Repairable?
If the damage is inside the central repair zone and the tyre is otherwise sound, we proceed. If not, we'll quote a fair replacement.
- 03
Plug & patch
A vulcanised combination patch seals from the inside; the plug fills the puncture channel — the only repair recognised as permanent.
- 04
Balance & refit
Tyre is re-balanced, refitted, torqued and the pressure warning light reset if needed.
Puncture Repair pricing — nothing hidden.
If the tyre can't be safely repaired we'll explain why and apply the inspection fee against a replacement.

Common puncture repair issues we handle.
Slow punctures
We dunk-test the tyre and inspect the bead seat — slow leaks are often valve or bead-related, not punctures at all.
Run-flat damage
Run-flats driven flat usually need replacing; we inspect the sidewall internally before giving an honest answer.
Sidewall damage
Repairs in the sidewall or shoulder are not safe under BSAU-159 — we'll always recommend a replacement.
A team you can trust with your car.
Done to standard
Every repair follows BSAU-159 — internal inspection, central repair zone, combination patch. No shortcuts.
Honest assessment
We won't repair a sidewall, a shoulder, or a tyre that's already weakened — your safety comes first.
While-you-wait
Comfortable waiting area, free Wi-Fi and refreshments — most repairs are done in under 30 minutes.

Puncture Repair questions, answered.
Can't see your question? Call 0208 159 2222 or message us on WhatsApp.
- Can every puncture be repaired?
- No. Only damage in the central tread area (the 'repair zone') on a structurally sound tyre can be safely repaired under BSAU-159.
- Is a plug repair from a kit safe?
- External-only string plugs are a temporary get-you-home fix. We use an internal combination patch which is the only repair recognised as permanent.
- How long does a puncture repair take?
- Most car repairs are finished in 20–30 minutes once we start work.
- Will my MOT pass with a repaired tyre?
- Yes — a BSAU-159 compliant repair passes MOT inspection.
- Do you repair run-flat tyres?
- We inspect every run-flat internally. If it's been driven on while flat it normally has to be replaced; if not, repair may be possible.
